What are cookies?
These are text files called cookies, which are sent by the website that is visited, and then they are saved on the device via which the website is accessed (PC, laptop, smartphone).
The cookie files contain information necessary for the proper functioning of the website.
Cookies allow for, i.e. saving the user''s preferences and personalising the websites in terms of the selection of content and images.
Personal data gathered by means of “cookies” may be collected only in order to perform certain functions on behalf of the user, e.g. saving the information on the login to a website or the goods added to the basket in an online store. Such data is encrypted to prevent any access to it by unauthorized persons.
What should you know about cookies?
Cookies are not used for the identification of users and do not determine their identity on such a basis.
“Cookies” identify the data of the computer and browser which are used to browse the website – for example, they allow for finding out whether a particular computer has been used to visit a given webpage;
they are not harmful neither for us nor for our computers or smartphones
they do not introduce configuration changes within the devices or software
the default parameters of “cookies” allow for the recognition of information contained in them only by the server that created them
due to cookies, the accessed website may be adjusted to the needs of the user.
Types of cookies used
Session “cookies” – these are temporary files stored in the browser''s memory until the end of the browser session, that is, until its closure. These files are required for some applications or features to work properly.
Google Analytics “cookies” – used for the proper operation of Google Analytics which anonymously analyses such parameters as: visit sources, the time of using the website, the number of hits, most frequently visited subpages, the number of returns to the website.

- acceptance of cookies which allows you to take full advantage of the features offered by particular websites;
- management of cookies at the level of individual, selected websites;
- specification of settings for different types of cookies;
- blockage or removal of cookies.
