Fornir (natural veener)

Thin sheets of wood obtained by flat or circular slicing. Those sheets are 0.6 to 2 mm thick. Glueing veneer onto a wood-base board (particle board or MDF board) makes it look similar to solid wood and at the same time reduces imperfections of wood which result from its little resistance to humidity. Veneer, like wood, is characterised by uneven texture, varied structure, colour contrasts, discolourations and knots.
