Arrangement of items at suitable levels in the kitchen A good idea is to put particular items at suitable levels, as regards the frequency with which they are used. Items which are used most often - in easily accessible drawers, directly beneath the worktop or at the lowest level of wall-mounted cupboards. Less often used items - below and above that level. Sporadically used items - at the highest level of an upper cupboard or at the lowest level of a lower cupboard.

Storage in 21st century
Modern storage involves the whole range of effective ways to use the available space and limit its loss to minimum. Basic trends in storage in a 21st century kitchen are:
- replacement of shelves in lower cupboards with drawers,
- replacement of traditionally opened doors in wall-mounted cupboards with lift-up fronts,
- drawer specialisation - assigning certain functions to them.
